Bologna: Corso di Cucina con Pasta Fresca, Ragu e Vino con Ospite Locale

We thoroughly enjoyed our cooking experience! Not only was our host, Alessia, wonderful, but our time was even more special because if the other participants. Everyone helped each other, teased each other and had a great time being together. Alessia provided us with the recipes of what we would be preparing. She explained and showed us the proper methods when preparing our tiramisu and pasta noodles. While we waited for our tortellini to cook, we were served 30yr old Parmesan with 50yr old Balsamic antipasto with local white wine. Perfect combination next was our Tagliolini with Bolognese Ragu and red wine. We know we will be talking about this class and our fellow participants for a very long time. Thank You Alessia!!

Dette var en fantastisk matopplevelse i italienske matretter fra området. Vi laget pasta og tiramisu og hun serverte oss også mortadella og parmesan som en forrett. Pastaene vi laget var tagliatelle og torteloni. Alessia var veldig flink til å undervise og i tillegg en veldig hyggelig vert. Vi fikk lov til å komme inn i hennes hus og oppleve hvordan man laget maten på et italiensk kjøkken. Vi fikk også servert vin og kaffe til maten som gjorde total opplevelsen veldig bra. Vi kan gi våre beste anbefalinger.

We had a wonderful time learning to make pasta with a lovely instructor. She was patient and funny when explaining instructions and the end product tasted amazing. We had a lovely range of other couples in the class and it was a real delight to meet people from other countries and talk about their lives and their experiences while eating the meal and tasting Italian wine. The downside we didn’t get to make Tiramisu as described in the booking, but made 3 pasta dishes instead. We also didn’t enjoy when the host spoke in Italian to another Italian student in the class when they spoke English it alienated the others and it happened a lot.

Wir wurden gut angeleitet und das Pasta machen hat Spass gemacht. Allerdings haben wir uns was anderes vorgestellt: das Ragu war bereits vorbereitet und wir haben einfach ein Glas Wein zum Essen bekommen. Der Kochkurs fand in einer privaten Wohnung statt was eigentlich auch cool ist, allerdings war es ein Katzenhaushalt und für Personen mit Katzenallergie somit nicht passend. Nach dem Essen mussten wir dann relativ schnell wieder gehen, weil die Gastgeberin zu Hause noch Abendessen für ihren Mann kochen musste.

This cooking class was absolutely amazing! We had been wanting to do a cooking class in Italy for years and this truly exceeded all expectations. I have never liked tiramisu and this one was the first one I have ever LOVED/finished. It was so light and was a great ending to an amazing class. I cannot say enough good things about this experience. It was over three hours of full and detailed instruction and we are so grateful that we were able to have this experience during our time in Italy!

Alessia war eine sehr gute Gastgeberin. Mit viel Liebe zum Kochen und den Wurzeln der lokalen Küche brachte sie uns bei, wie man ordentliche Pasta herstellt. Auch mit meinem Sohn war sie sofort auf einer Wellenlänge. Die gesamte Gruppe war sehr nett! Alessia hat auch hier das richtige Gespür für die Gruppe, sodass wir uns auch gegenseitig kennenlernen konnten. Eine klare Weiterempfehlung!
