Izlet je super, voditelj/vozač ( Paolo ) je bio zakon

Well organised tour with pickup in centre of town in comfortable minibus, small group of eight, competent and friendly guide (Mariana?!) who looked after everyone very well amd explained all sights which included quite a few stops in the short time. Good all rounded tour to see the highlights. I would have liked more hiking around Etna and skip the (touristy) tasting part. But mixed ability and age in the group meant we couldn’t go very far. Overall very enjoyable.

The guide was excellent, and the entire excursion was great. However, we almost missed the whole excursion because of how unhelpful the company was. I’m attaching a photo of the storm in Catania that morning, when they told us to walk to the meeting point because it was “only 10 minutes away” and they refused to come by car to pick us up. We had been trying to get a taxi for an hour without success, and in the end, the owner of our apartment had to drive us there. A big minus for the boss, who simply said, “They’ll have to manage on their own,” even though he knew we had been trying to get a taxi for an hour. If they were willing to leave us behind in those conditions in Catania, it makes me wonder what would have happened if we had needed help on Etna or somewhere else. The guide herself was great, and the excursion was absolutely worth it — but the way the company handled the situation was very disappointing.
