Gondola a Venezia sotto il Ponte dei Sospiri con audio guida

It was a must do experience as we were in Venice. We took the option of sharing rather than pay top dollar. So we ended up with three members of a family in the Gondola with us. Luckily we bagged the twin seat at the back. Time wise it was a decent time, but clearly its expensive for what it is. The walk from the meeting place isn't too bad, and the queuing time at the dock was about 15 to 20 mins.

Chose this gondola experience as it states ‘audio guide’ so naturally was expecting to be given headphones or something to listen to as we went down the canal to learn about the bridges, history etc. Nothing was given and there was 0 communication throughout the experience. It was a 15 min journey down and back. No walking tour as mentioned either. Don’t recommend!!!

the "gondolero" totally ignored us and was just talking to other "gondoleros". We weren't expecting a full guided explanation but we went under the ponte di suspiri and he didn't even tell us what it was, there was no contact whatsoever with us,least of all any explanation. The ride was pleasant, but we were taking pictures and we didn't know what of until we got back to the hotel and investigated ourselves. shame that there was no explanation or interaction with us

Beautiful sights were seen, but we were in a shared group of 5, 3 English and 2 Spanish, and oht guide only spoke to us in English to shout at my friend to sit properly and then nothing else, despite speaking to the others in Spanish the entire time. It was only around 20 minutes and cost us €33 each, so less than a €1 a minute. Good for the experience and cheaper than booking in person, but not good for your money and if you want to actually understand the sights and what you are going past.
