Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento: Positano, Amalfi & Ravello

We had the most enjoyable day with Nando as our driver. He pointed out interesting facts about areas we passed and had a wonderful sense of humor. The tour was a great day of activities including a couple of extra options if we chose to partake. The boat cruise along the coast of Amalfi ($20) and a wonderful lunch at a restaurant on the water ($25). Both well worth the extra money. I have raved about GYG to many and will continue to do so. Unser Ausflug an die Amalfiküste startete früh morgens. Wir wurden direkt an unserem Hotel abgeholt. Unser Guide war sehr freundlich und humorvoll. Die erste Station war Positano, ein schönes Dorf und die Stunde Aufenthalt war ausreichend. In Amalfi, der zweiten Station, war ebenfalls genügend Zeit (2h). In Ravello hingegen wäre mehr als eine Stunde wünschenswert gewesen, da es einiges zu sehen gibt. Alles in allem können wir den Ausflug weiterempfehlen.

On ne regrette pas d’avoir choisi la visite des 3 sites en une journée, c’est très pratique surtout en plein été. Malheureusement on fait les visites au pas de course c’est très speed et surtout le chauffeur passe son temps à essayer de vous forcer à prendre des prestations supplémentaires… s’il n’a pas essayé 10 ou -5 fois de nous faire prendre son resto sinon on pourra pas manger, la sortie en bateau etc. Ça fait très vente forcée et peu appréciable. D’ailleurs pour la 2e ville, dans les 2h de visite il y a 45min de bateau (non prévu) et 1h de restaurant donc vous ne verrez pas grand chose de la ville si vous optez pour les dejx5

The lunch was a full sit-down meal with simple wine and 3 courses with 4 or 5 main options, at a site with stunning views. Our guide was very flexible in pickup from Meta. We traveled as 8 guests plus guide in a 3-3-3 minivan, which was much more personal than the giant coach tours. The guide drove very safely on the roads. We visited Positano early before the crowds, Amalfi in the peak of the day (very crowded even mid-Sept), had lunch, then finished at the much quieter Rovello. The driving included local commentary, and the town exploration was unguided and unstructured. Duration was 8am-5pm (door to door), though our town visits were shorter due to a significant road closure (unlikely to impact your trip).
