Due to uneven terrain and steps, strollers are not recommended. A baby carrier or backpack carrier is advised for young children.
Return times are approximate. Please allow at least 1 extra hour before any train, flight, ferry, or scheduled activity.
Due to extraordinary closures or restrictions, Pompeii may be replaced with Herculaneum or Oplontis without prior notice.
On the first Sunday of each month, the tour price is reduced as Pompeii admission is free.

Mijn zus en ik hebben deze excursie via GetYourGuide geboekt. Voor vertrek heb ik onze gids expliciet gevraagd of we weer op tijd bij het Archeologisch Museum zouden zijn. Wij moesten om 12:30 uur ons appartement verlaten en onze 81-jarige moeder van 81 jaar wachtte op ons. Er werd aangegeven dat we rond 12:00 uur terug zouden zijn. Tot onze verbazing werden we niet afgezet op de plek waar we waren opgehaald, maar op een andere locatie. Dit stond slechts heel klein en onduidelijk vermeld in de vele berichten. Hierdoor moesten wij nog 20 minuten met een taxi naar ons appartement en waren we uiteindelijk ongeveer 65 minuten te laat. Dit heeft ons onnodig veel stress en extra kosten opgeleverd. Vooral omdat ik vooraf juist expliciet naar de terugkomst had gevraagd. De communicatie en organisatie van World Tours waren zeer teleurstellend. Dit had vooraf veel duidelijker gecommuniceerd moeten worden.

To begin, pick up was super simple right out side the Napoli Centrale train station. I actually screwed up my dates and came a day earlier. I told the lady waiting that I took an early morning train from Rome and was going back in the evening. I came specially to for the tour of Pompeii. She promptly called the office and they were super awesome to let me in the tour. The tour guide Tomaso was nothing but awesome. Super knowledgeable and funny. He wanted us to get the most out of the tour, so we he would take us from setting to setting and even having us pass other tours and then coming back to make sure we didn’t miss anything. It’s impossible to cover the whole city, but I got the essentials in and could see and feel what happened during the destruction of Pompeii. The tour was in English and they provided ear pieces so you can hear everything Tomaso was saying. His English was quite good. I asked a few questions and he was able to answer immediately. Money well spent!

I really enjoyed the tour to Pompeii. Our guide on the bus, Paola, was absolutely wonderful —friendly, engaging, and very informative throughout the journey. The local guide in Pompeii was also excellent, providing clear explanations and making the history come alive. Everything about the tour was well-organized, efficient, and perfectly on time, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. My only wish is that small pets in a carrier could be allowed on the bus, since they are permitted inside Pompeii. I would definitely recommend this tour to others.

The pompei guide was excellent. The guide on the transport was not friendly nor helpful. In fact quite the opposite and rather rude and ruined what should have been a fabulous day.

Everything was well organised and ran smoothly. The tour of Pompeii was given by a separate guide employed by the archeological site. While interesting and informative, it felt very rushed, and we only saw a fraction of the site. I would have liked to be given some free time in the site at the end to look around at our own pace, but we were hurried out the exit. In total we spend 1 hour inside the site. People I know who went separately spend 3+ hours there, so there was plenty more to see.

Pour le prix très rapide un manque d’organisation vers la fin pour les navettes nous avons attendu plus de 1h30 notre bus il aurait fallut nous prévenir pendant ce temps nous serions allé boire un verre ou déjeuné en attendant plutôt qu’attendre sur un trottoir et la visite est très vite bâclé

Our Pompeii tour was absolutely wonderful! It was incredibly informative and brought the history of Pompeii to life. Our guide, Anne, was fantastic—knowledgeable, engaging, and made the entire experience so interesting. Marco was also wonderful on the bus, and our driver did a great job throughout the day. Our guide was very nice, but he literally raced through Pompeii. There was no time to take photos. It was hard just to keep up with him because he was walking so fast. We missed out on all the frescoes in the bathhouses, which was something I was really looking forward to. Compay’s beautiful and definitely worth visiting but the next time I wouldn’t go with a guide.

The tour guide moved at such a fast pace that our group got split up and divided into thirds, with several people getting lost. I’m in my 30s and in decent shape and I struggled to keep up, let alone stop and take in the sights. Also, the street where we were picked up was closed so they made us get off at another stop a mile away from where we were expecting.

La guida Marco all’interno del sito è stata super. L’organizzazione e la puntualità del trasferimento invece un vero disastro. Fanno correre la gente per arrivare puntuale al punto di incontro per poi partire con mezz’ora di ritardo
