Etna Upper Craters Day Tour from Taormina

It was a great tour and very interesting drive up the volcano. There is a lot of time in the bus and the 4x4 and only about 20-30 mins walking so it is a tour that is almost good for anyone. Even a little dog did the walk with us! The sound system in the bus and the 4x4 wasn’t the best so it was hard to hear the guides in the bus. Make sure you have a couple of euros for the bathroom stop. Definitely a good way to see the volcano!

Really fun and smooth day trip to Etna, going up to 2800m was definitely worth it as it is completely different to just the lower part of Etna. Fantastic tour guides and amazing views throughout! Needed a euro cash for the toilet however which was annoying. Transport was good and easy pickup from Taormina. Could’ve been a little cheaper but it’s worth it to be hassle free!

I had previously used this company a couple of years ago. Then we entered Etna from the South. It was excellent… but our tour this time took up to the north entrance, and it was even more enjoyable. The drive through the forest and the less crowded, less commercialised aspect of the North and walks around the recently erupted craters was so much better. Our tour guide Alessandra gave a great explanation and the expert guide Marcos gave a great insight into the geology and ecology of Aetna Park. Outstanding!
