San Gimignano: Truffle Hunt with Tuscan Lunch & Wine Tasting

a truly transcendent experience with a cute dog. I loved the lesson about truffles before hand, our guides calling to her dog, in a singing positive voice was so fun. I did not expect the truffles to be firm as they where. the meal the followed was such a treat. our guide through our tasting was very good and engaging. We left with a deeper knowledge about the wine region and the meaning of terms like "super tuscan" which will make our purchases of Italian wines all that better. over all a great experience.

The truffle hunt was very informative and the truffle sniffer dog was adorable! My only feedback was the truffle hunt itself was quite hands-off which took away from being able to go and see the truffles in the ground and learning proper extraction. The dog did all the hard work which is great but wish we could’ve been more involved. The wine tasting and lunch was amazing you will leave full of wine!!

LOVED the truffle hunting experience! Alessandro was absolutely wonderful - explaining the process of how a truffle starts and grows to how to train the beloved truffle hunting dog. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and the dog successfully found many truffles! The wine tasting/pairing and lunch following the hunt was also delightful and memorable! Excellent wines and oils and a very tasty meal. Would highly recommend!

Booked for 10a on Get Your Giude app. Host came back and asked us if we could do 1p or 5p. We agreed to 1p. When we got there we were asked to wait in the garden. One hour later we were still waiting. When I asked staff they said our trip would start momentarily. 15 minutes later I asked again. Finally we got attention and our experience started. Overall we enjoyed the experience but the delays were not explained. They were busy with wine tastings and I think we were forgotten.

This was a highlight of our trip! The family-run business left us feeling well cared for and treated. The weather could have been better but didn't dampen the experience...the guide was informative; the dogs great fun to interact with; the food and wine absolutely delicious! We had a very skeptical member in attendance and even she found it to be a highlight of the trip! I could not recommend this more than to say, when in Tuscany, be sure to make this tour a part of your itinerary.
