Lucca: Pasta & Tiramisu Class with an Italian Mamma

Such a good evening, we were lucky enough that it was just my friend & I in our slot. We got great tips, advice & help making our pastas and tiramisu and they tasted unbelievable. Silvia was brilliant, super friendly, helpful & welcoming into her home. She gave us recommendations for the rest of our trip and even reserved us a table for dinner for the following evening! Would highly recommend, best bit of our trip for sure

Silvia in Lucca was great. She helped us make excellent food, showing us all the techniques that we need to know for cooking Italian food at home. Her apartment was beautiful and since it was hot outside, her air conditioning was fantastic. I highly recommend her a for your cooking experience. I’m looking forward to receiving the recipes from her.

Pasta making with Monica was more than an activity it was an experience, and one I will remember the rest of my life. From the moment we entered her home we were treated like family. She is a master of making pasta and she was eager to teach us. Not only did she teach us how to make pasta, but she shared other tips and tricks for cooking Italian food. She shared with us her food and wisdom. It was absolutely wonderful! we had a wonderful time with her family! I look forward to going home and practicing the things I learned.

First of all, loved the location as it was so peaceful! Her parents house is built old Italian country style, very charming! Letizia was an absolute doll! She warm, inviting and so friendly, very easy to be with. We started the morning with light hors d'oeuvre and coffee for breakfast. Then we got started on the tiramisu which was, thank goodness, very easy. Later the pasta( 2 kinds: macaroni and ravioli but that was more challenging but loads of fun with Letizia! Afterwards, I was able to sit down and cuddle with her parents two dogs Ambra and Rosa - I fell in love with them, so affectionate!! Our lunch was Scrumptious tether with a glass of wine. Later, our dessert with coffee! Finally, we all sat infront of the fireplace with a real fire , chatted and took photos, with the dogs of course! I would highly recommend this food activity!! I had an incredible afternoon with Letizia, her parents and her fur babies💚💛🩷❤️🧡💛🙏

We loved the class, Sylvia was an excellent teacher and we learned so much. The food was all brilliant and no one was hungry when we left. Highly recommend this class. The only change I would suggest is clearer information regarding the meeting place as we were sent 2 different locations and this was rather confusing. The only other suggestion might be to offer more than just red wine.

What a wonderful evening and a great meal! Silvia prepared a lovely menu and each of us had a chance for hands-on cooking, as well as time for a glass of wine and some conversation. I've taken a number of cooking classes throughout my travels and Silvia's will stand-out in my mind as a really excellent experience! (P.S. I really liked it that she emailed the recipes afterwards, so I didn't have to bother with carrying them on the rest of the vacation but I have them to try at home!)
