Lucca: Private Home-made Pasta Cooking Class

We arrived at Giacamo & Helena’s farm and were greeted with wine and many appetizers. Helena explained the history of the farm. We thoroughly enjoyed our pasta making class! Giacamo took us on a tour of the farm while Helena prepared the pasta we made. They have 1800 olive trees on their farm where they make their own olive oil. We then sat down for a lovely luncheon. I highly recommend this class.

Myself, my husband and our great friends from Vancouver British Columbia, thoroughly enjoyed this incredible pasta cooking class. Nothing like being taken from city to farm and enjoying an incredible afternoon learning about making different forms of pasta. Enjoying the culture and history of a very lovely couple whom continued a legacy family farm and shared so much of it and their love of it with us! Great conversation, food, wine and such lovely people! Highly recommended if you’re looking for an authentic Italian experience!🙌❤️

We were a family of 7 - 6 adults and an 8 yr old. We had the best afternoon learning how to make pasta with Elena and Giacomo and Nana. They are the kindest people who live in a beautifully quiet spot in the Tuscan hills. Their property is full of olive trees which they harvest. Our pasta lunch was delicious with all kinds of locally grown items - cheese, olives, tomatoes, wine etc. They also raise chickens which was highly entertaining for our 8 yr old grandson. This was a great experience that each of us really enjoyed. Highly recommended.

This cooking class was exceptional. Helena is a wonderful teacher and guide. She is lively, warm, funny, and patient and full of interesting stories. She made us feel very comfortable and welcome while teaching us important tips about making excellent pasta. The highlight of the afternoon, though, was our lunch, which we had outside on her lovely farm. The pasta we made was accompanied by a selection of delicious local foods, including their own outstanding olive oil, pecorino cheese, local meats, fresh bread, and of course local wine. Helena's husband Giacomo joined us. It felt like a family meal under a beautiful Tuscan sky. Absolutely worth every cent.

Absolutely wonderful evening!! Hosts were incredibly kind and gracious and wonderfully patient with our kids. All 5 of us (parents plus 3 boys, ages 14, 11, 7) had a fun evening filled with delicious food and laughter. We learned a lot about pasta-making but also about life in Italy. It’s one of those experiences we will remember forever, and that is worth every penny spent. Thank you so much for welcoming us into your home (and for all of the bread and juice!). 😂

Ellen & Giacomo were delightful & made you feel like we were neighbors & friends. The class was very informative, hands on, learning how to make pasta the traditional way. Their home is like a traditional Italian family’s precious home. Their love for cooking showed through in everything they made. It was fun to tour their farm property and experience all the ingredients they have growing on the farm. It totally exceeded my expectations and I was “blown away”. I would recommend this class to all those that want to experience a real Italian family’s cooking class. You don’t want to miss this experience. Our private home-made pasta cooking class with Helen and Giacomo was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we were picked up at our Airbnb and driven through the beautiful Lucca/Pisa countryside, everything felt special. Helen and Giacomo were incredibly warm, welcoming, and full of fascinating stories. Their hospitality made us feel like part of their family. Learning to make pasta in their gorgeous mountainside home and farm was both fun and inspiring—the food was delicious, the atmosphere relaxed and authentic. The experience went far beyond just cooking; it was a true taste of Italian life. We couldn’t recommend it more highly for couples, families, or anyone wanting an unforgettable and personal experience in Tuscany.
