Catania: Pistachio Ravioli & Pasta Home Cooking Class with Wine

Une superbe expérience culinaire que nous avons eu la chance de partager à deux ! Angela nous a accueillis dans son magnifique appartement, décoré avec beaucoup de goût, et nous a transmis avec passion son amour de la cuisine italienne. Nous avons appris à préparer de délicieux raviolis ricotta-pistache, avec une pâte sans œuf réalisée à partir d’une farine particulière. Angela est adorable, très pédagogue et surtout extrêmement douée : on sent qu’elle aime véritablement ce qu’elle fait et qu’elle prend plaisir à partager ses connaissances. Les bruschettas en entrée étaient également délicieuses. Nous avons passé un excellent moment et avons déjà hâte de refaire ses recettes chez nous ! Une expérience authentique, chaleureuse et gourmande que nous recommandons vivement, particulièrement pour découvrir la cuisine italienne autrement.

It was not a cooking class . It was a grotesk of it. We have been in few cooking classes before in Italy so really can say that i really even don’t know how to call this experience. Never seeen before such terrible approach to customer like we all were idiots and didn’t knew what tomato is ( that level) No air konditioning , at least 38 C in the room. No cold! Water ! Wine was also warm! Tiny kichen, not at all suitable for a class or anything in fackt!No english ! Not worth money or your time !

It was a wonderful experience! I learned so much from her and she was so nice. It was such an easy meal to make and I will definitely make it at home as well! And the taste… so good… I love Pistachios even more now than I did before. It was a true authentic experience in a gorgeous Siciliën home with the most wonderful teacher. Highly recommend!

Angela and Victorio were great host! Our family of seven had a fantastic time in their lovely home. Angela demonstrated how to make pistachio pasta. We had many laughs and enjoyed our delicious luncheon. Angela was very nice to accommodate one of our family members who has a gluten allergy. She went above and beyond to make him a non pasta lunch. We can’t say enough about this experience, it was a highlight of our trip.

Angela was a warm and wonderful host, but does not speak the BEST English. Between English, some French, and Google translate, we always got there though! She taught us about the type of dough we would be making as well as other food local to the area. We helped to prepare the dough, then Angela made us delicious bruschetta while we waited for it to rise. Next, we each made our own ravioli with a section of the dough, then watched as Angela prepared the sauce and finished cooking the ravioli. We had a delicious meal with plenty of wine before Angela brought out a dessert of broken cannoli. I don’t think any of us minded that we went past the end time. It was very hot in Catania and Angela’s home was also very hot - we were all dripping sweat and happy to stand on the balcony with our wine for a few minutes before eating! Only do this if you like pistachio, but we were so full after, the walk to our hostel was welcome!
