Olbia: Gallura Wine Tour with Tasting and Round-Trip Transfer

The driver picked me up at my hotel a few minutes early, so very prompt. She was a very careful driver and felt very safe riding with her. Tanute is a beautiful, modern winery, just 10 minutes outside the Olbia city center. Our host at the winery was very knowledgeable about the wine making process and what makes Tanute wine special on the island of Sardinia. The white wine was definitely the best I had on the island. The setting was very beautiful and very much enjoyed the tour. The only suggestion I would have to make the tour even better is to extend it to 2.5 hours so it doesn’t feel rushed, especially to leave.

Near Olbia. Nice restaurant-feel setting for the tasting, overlooking the vineyards, with generous servings of wine, cheese and meat. Given that they also produce sparkling wine, I added a tasting of that as an extra glass, which was great, as that was not included in the 3 wines offered in the normal tasting package. The actual tasting time, after the cellar tour, should ideally be extended by at least 15 minutes to provide a slightly more relaxed experience during the tasting, as I was chatting with other travellers in the group during the tasting.

Meeting time was changed twice which wasn’t an issue for us. We thought the tour of Olbia would be in a tuk tuk as detailed on the site( we were aware the transport to vineyard would be minibus).Arrived at vineyard and waited a further 10mins for another group to join the vineyard tour. A well informed tour with a very knowledgeable vineyard guide. Tasting was good the other group had a different tasting package….. could you possibly offer more than one package? Felt a little rushed at end as minibus driver had to be elsewhere. Drive through Olbia tour was a recording rather than tour guide couldn’t ask questions. Overall vineyard experience was better than expected but the rest was not as good.
