Florence: Cinque Terre Small-Group Tour with Optional Street Food

Very good tour if u are looking for a day trip. A lot of walking, a lot of hills and/or stairs. Face paced at times. It’s an experience to see these majestic seaside towns. Our guide was Cecelia, she was very good, well informed and kept the group together with clear instructions. Nice variety of ways to see the towns. The towns run on tourism, so prices a little extra here for food, drink, or souvenirs. Fun day and fella like you’re on a movie set with how magical the imagery is.

We didn’t do any planning for Cinque Terre, so for us it was a perfect blend of guided transportation and free exploration. Frederico was fantastic, tirelessly giving instructions in English, Spanish, and French. We may be able to do this for cheaper, but Frederico was able to make this into a worry free experience, giving us ample time to wander around each village. The tour could improve if it gives everyone a free aperitif/drink at the last village.

Luigi was a great host. He provided nice information about the stops, ensured the group was always accounted for, and provided suggestions when asked. A few things to note (but nothing negative). You should be there 20 minutes. Based on my experience, I think it depends on how many groups are booked for the day. I went out of peak season and as the first group/bus was full it left, ie: be there 20 mins early. I was very happy to have been there early as it is a long day and it was nice to be back a bit early too. Also, if you go outside of peak season, be prepared that some restaurants/shops may not be open (this has nothing to do with the tour company but helpful insight). Therefore, it may be worth either having/bringing breakfast or snacks before lunch. As several people mentioned, it’s a full day on your feet. There’s a bit of sitting (on train, in a cafe/restaurant, etc.) but be sure to wear comfy shoes.

Such a great excursion. Our guide Philippa was an absolute joy!! So very helpful and even continued to help us after the tour was over. Cannot say enough good things about her! These little towns are absolutely adorable. Be prepared for a busy day full of walking and being shuttled from place to place. A lot of hustle bustle but so worth it if you've never been to these villages. Sadly we did not get the pleasure of the boat ride due to the weather conditions but it was definitely worth every penny.
