From Catania: Agrigento and Piazza Armerina Audioguide Tour

The audioguide didn’t work, the driver didn’t find the right audio file to play in the car. The driver drove around to find somewhere to fill up gas. The first place was blocked then he turned two times to ask people where to find another gas station. Finally the guests needed to help him find one because we were running out of gas. There he filled up 11 liters and therefore needed to stop again in Piazza Amerino to top it up. All this took one hour, and the time for us to see the mosaics was reduced to one hour. The driver tried to make up for the delay by speeding and driving very fast in the curves and was accelerating and breaking all the time so I got motion sickness for a long part of the travel.

Departure was very punctual with a comfortable mini van. Reaching our destination in the shortest possible time seemed to be of highest priority to the driver. Audio guide wasn't quite what we expected, lasted all of 5 minutes for each destination and was very poor to be kind about it. Only one hour at the second destination was much to short. We literally rushed through the exhibition hoping to get a photo to look at later not even knowing what we should or could look at. An enormous pity as it could have been so nice. Start the tour earlier to allow for enough time to visit each site, driver slow down alot, create an informative audio guide and then the 120€ each might be worth it. Entrance fees were 10€ and 12€ each extra. All in all as fabulous as the two sites were this tour was so disappointing

Rubbish, Rubbish, Rubbish. Avoid them if you can. The trip planned for 8.5 hours lasted 10.5 hours, so the last evening in Catania turned out to be a failure. Just because we had to pick up two people from Ortigia, the whole trip was delayed. After 2 hours we should have visited Piazza Armerina, we were still circling around Catania. Ortigia was NOT part of the tour!! Bunch of greedy people. The technical condition of the bus is another story. All participants were furious. A partial refund would be appreciated. Never ever again.
