Skip-the-Line Pompeii Tour from Sorrento with Vineyard Lunch

A really enjoyable and well-organised trip. We were picked up from our hotel early, which meant we arrived at Pompeii before it became too busy. Our guide was amazing – so knowledgeable and interesting. I’m really glad we chose a guided tour as otherwise we would have just been walking around looking at ruins without understanding what we were seeing. She really brought Pompeii to life. The vineyard was a lovely setting, the staff were friendly and the wine was excellent – we bought two bottles at €25 each. The lunch was the only disappointment. We were told everything was homemade at the vineyard, but it didn’t really taste that way. The bruschetta toppings were tasty but the bread was so hard I couldn’t bite into it, the pasta was okay but didn’t seem homemade, and the sponge cake was very dry. Overall, a lovely day and the Pompeii tour was definitely the highlight. We were back at our hotel by 2pm, leaving us the afternoon free.
