San Gimignano & Volterra Day Tour from Siena with Organic Farm Lunch

Our day with Julianna was extremely enjoyable and informative. She did an excellent job giving us history and preview to the sites visited. Wonderful lunch and interesting visit to a saffron farm. Best part was the lovely ride between stops in a very comfortable van and no driving on our part. I would heartily recommend this tour to anyone!

We had a great trip from start to finish. Our guide was called Georgia and she made the day very interesting from start to finish. Her English was excellent. She began quickly by giving us explanations of the local area the towns and where we will be visiting. This made the whole thing easy to understand and made it a great day. We were dropped off at places that made walking into the places we were visiting very easy. She gave good suggestions on what to see and do. We had a lovely lunch at a winery. We were not rushed anywhere and even got back overtime without any issues. Really good.

El guía fue excelente y Carmela, la Sra que nos recibió en su casa para el almuerzo fue encantadora. El almuerzo hecho por ella fue como estar en casa, maravilloso. Sin embargo creo que al tour le faltó más información y explicación en cada ciudad, ya que el guía/chofer solo llegaba a destino y nos daba apenas una hora para recorrer, lo que me pareció que fue muy poco tiempo para conocer. Por lo mismo me parece que el tour es caro para lo que es. En cada sitio deberían dar por lo menos hora y media o 2 horas para recorrer

We spent the day with the charismatic Mattia, and we had a wonderful time! Our morning visit to Monteriggioni and San Gimignano encountered heavier fog than expected. When the fog cleared, Mattia was kind to make a photo stop on the way to Volterra which allowed us to appreciate the medieval towers of San Gimignano from afar. Volterra exceeded our expectations because there’s so much to see! From Etruscan gate to Roman theater, from Medici fortress to the town square, we can imagine spending a whole day here on a different trip! The saffron lunch was one of the most memorable, heavenly meals that we had in Tuscany, from a variety of tasty and vegetarian antipasti, to a ravioli with saffron sauce, ending with an unbelievably delicate homemade saffron gelato and limoncello. Lunch was paired with Vernacciq and which is a very delicious Tuscan white. We had a fantastic time and would recommend this tour to everyone who loves exploring a variety of small Tuscan towns!
