Siena: Chianti & San Gimignano Sunset Tour with Wine Tasting and Dinner

This tour was one of the highlights of our 2-week trip to Italy. Our guide Keiko (sp?) was fantastic! He was a wealth of information and also entertained us with some great stories! It was nice to be able to visit two medieval towns, and two wineries complete with a traditional Tuscan dinner at the second winery, without having to worry about driving, directions, and parking. The small group size was ideal for a more intimate experience and everyone got along really well which was a plus. We tasted many different wines and olive oil at both wineries and they were so good we shipped some bottles home. The first winery tour was very thorough with a wealth of information, not to mention a beautiful setting and perfect weather. The only change I might make to the tour is getting to San Gimignano a little bit earlier ( which would probably mean starting the whole tour a tad bit earlier) because most sights were closing when we arrived for free time. Highly recommend this tour!

This was a well rounded well timed tour. I felt the pace and variety of activities was enough. We made good friends with our small group and enjoyed the variety of wines and food we got to try. Montereggioni was a fun little stop, we even had time for a quick wine. It was enough time to see San Gimingnano, to try their famous saphron gelato and walk the streets. The dinner was fantastic. Definitely worth the cost of the tour as we would not have visited the local wineries we did otherwise. Our tour guide provided fantastic stories and history of the places visited too

Giovanni was an excellent guide. His knowledge and personal experiences with wine really enhanced our experience. He has a very positive and personal relationship with the vintners we visited. He also has a wonderfully dry sense of humor which made things fun. The pace of the tour was perfect and he was a very good driver. I loved everything about the trip.

Our group thoroughly enjoyed our trip to the winery in Chianti, our hours spent in San Gimignano, and our delicious dinner at the farm. Our guide, Keko, was a delight. He was extremely knowledgeable and shared a great deal of information with us while we traveled to each destination comfortably in the air-conditioned van. We would absolutely recommend this tour and highly suggest requesting Keko!

The towns we saw were magical as well As the vineyard owners. It was only 8 hrs- not 9- the meal was a little sparse at the farmhouse and we didn’t hear much about how the wine was made. Our tour guide Papillo was a little short with one of our friends and made her feel uncomfortable. We couldn’t hear most of what he was saying on tour in back seat. It was as described but nothing extra for us to say wow! Except the towns themselves and the first vineyard owners were very charming

Guillermo was an absolutely fantastic guide! His knowledge of the history was impressive, and he brought each story to life in a way that made the experience truly unforgettable. He was also incredibly attentive to all of us, ensuring everyone felt comfortable and engaged throughout the tour. I can't recommend Guillermo highly enough—if you're looking for an insightful and enjoyable experience, he's the guide to ask for!

Juliana was such an amazing guide. I loved the evening trip that we took with her. She was very knowledgeable, has such a likeable personality and was a really good guide. The drive and the cities we visited were very beautiful. The dinner is good if you eat meat, but not much for vegetarians (though they tried a lot to accommodate) . I would recommend this trip to anyone who’s in Siena. We also did a fully customized personal full day tour and it was not as good as this one for sure.

Not wanting to be too critical, it would have been good to have audio in the bus as well as commentary as we were touring. There was no place to watch the sunset. The traditional meal was 3 courses of pizza, and for my friend who is coeliac, she just got off cuts of meat with nothing to go along side it,very disappointing. On a positive though our guide was very lovely and dropped us back to our accommodation late at night.
