E-bike Tour from Monopoli to St. Andrew's Rocky Village: Nature & History

Rocco was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We were lucky enough to have him guide us just as a couple on the e-bikes to a very remote unique site that had marvellous caves and painted inscriptions on the walls of the caves. We felt we were provided with a unique experience, not just of the caves, but also Rocco‘s local knowledge of the olive trees and the production of the local olive oil. It was a very pleasant cross country ride no hills so even with the E Bike it was a pleasure highly recommend.

Rocco was a great guide. The bikes were also great. He showed us some interesting sights in Monopoli and then out to the olive fields where we learned some fascinating facts about olive trees - and carob trees - but the highlight was heading down a farm track and arriving at an ancient village carved out of the rock faces in a natural gully and almost invisible from the surrounding area. It is on private farm land and unknown to the general public. It includes grain and olive processing buildings and an ancient church with amazing frescoes - all totally undeveloped. A privilege to see it and an unforgettable experience. Thanks Rocco.
