Sorrento: Pompeii & Herculaneum Day Trip with Winery Lunch

The pick up and transfers were good but the bus going had some broken seats. The guide in Pompeii took us in a cameo shop which we werent interested in, obviously on commission. She seemed very rushed in Pompeii and tried to rush the group past important ruins such as the beautiful Basilica which people specifically wanted to see, also rushed through the museum in 4 minutes! Lunch at the vineyard was good with no sales pressure for the wines we tasted. Herculaneum was the highlight with an excellent guide who took her time to explain everything and keep the group in the shade wherever possible. To be honest because Pompeii was rushed it was very disappointing but Herculaneum was much better.

The Pompeii/Herculaneum tour was a great day! Transportation from Sorrento was comfortable, Paula was an informative host and the guides at both Pompeii and Herculaneum were detailed and entertaining. With the heat in mid June, the day was a welcome balance of outdoor/indoor activities. The winery we visited at lunch was lovely. I highly recommend this tour!

I have used get your guide many tomes and have always had great experiiences. I would recommend a different tour operator within get your fuide iver this one. They made you feel like cattle and switching between vehicles during the trip was annoying and confusing for some of the elderly people on the trip depending on which tour they booked.. One guide was very rude, inconsiderate and unprofessional and the winery lunch was not great and they only had one bathroom for over 40 men and women

Eine exzellente Ausführung beider Guides sowohl in Pompeii & Herculaneum, ein angehme Busfahrt. die Location im Oliven Garten war idyllischen. Die Vorspeise sehr gut, die Hauptspeise leider enttäuschend und das Dessert Orangen Kuchen war noch gefroren, spricht eher nicht für Frische und Qualität leider. Animiert nicht zum Einkaufen der Produkte.

This was the highlight of our trip! We were picked up on time in a comfortable & air conditioned van and given lots of information about our day. We arrived at Pompeii and our tickets had already been purchased, so we skipped the line and followed our guide in. We saw the major points in Pompeii while listening to our guide via personal listening devices. Our guide was very knowledgeable. We then loaded up and drove to a vineyard where we tasted wine and had lunch (it was wonderful!). After lunch, our gourp split into different directions. We had opted to go on to Herculaneum which was a nice contrast to what we had seen in Pompeii. Again our guide was very informative. It was very hot and little shade, so recommend taking a small umbrella for personal shade from the sun. Take a water bottle and sunscreen. Highly recommend!
