Catania Highlights Walking Tour with a Local Guide

La guida è stata molto propositiva e coinvolgente, disponibile e preparata. Il tour è ben strutturato, permette di vedere tutte le principali attrazioni del centro di Catania. Unica cosa, nel tour c'erano anche altre persone non parlanti italiano per cui la guida doveva ripetere le spiegazioni in due lingue, ciò ovviamente ha tolto tempo alla possibilità di fare ulteriori domande. Devo dire che la guida è stata comunque esaustiva nelle spiegazioni Enel rispondere alla domande.

Tour interessante, divertente e dinamico. La nostra guida (di cui purtroppo non ricordiamo il nome, un ragazzo di Marsiglia) veramente in gamba, preparatissimo e innamorato del suo lavoro e della città che lo ha accolto! Ci ha trasmesso tutta la sua passione e conoscenza. Consigliatissimo, è il tour giusto per rendersi conto di che città sia Catania e dei suoi principali monumenti e delle sue storie.

The tour guide was not very experienced nor did he have much depth of knowledge. Too put it bluntly the tour was quite boring. We basically walked around and he said this building doesn't look like much on the outside but on the inside it's beautiful. Unfortunately we didn't go in a single building. I don't think his calling is being a tour guide.

Viviana was a friendly guide, but this was overall disappointing. At late notice she changed the start time by an hour because of ‘the heat’… but I’m not sure an hour made much difference. I felt pressured into accepting even though we had accommodation to check in to. There was too much about myths and stories, and we learnt very little about Catania, social and political history and what the city is like now. It was also fast paced and not the easiest to understand. Disappointed.
