Guided Tour of Burano Island with Live Lacemaking Demonstration

Wir haben zusammen mit unseren Freunden diese Tour gebucht und waren nur zu viert. Silvia hat uns in ihrer herzlichen Art so viel über Burano erzählt, vor allem tolle Details, die nur einheimische Inselbewohner wissen. Es war sehr interessant, kurzweilig und sehr gut auf Englisch zu verstehen. Grazie di cuore Silvia per lo speciale tour di Burano e per i piccoli souvenir.

Mit Silvia war es keine Sekunde langweilig. Mit großer Kenntnis der Insel hat sie uns an viele schöne Orte von Burano geführt, an die wir ohne sie vielleicht nicht gekommen wären. Silvias Erzählungen waren sehr lebhaft und wir durften auch ein paar mal hinter die Kulissen schauen. Silvia wohnt auf Burano und kennt offensichtlich jeden der 2.500 Einwohner persönlich. So wurde unsere Tour immer mal wieder durch ein herzliches "Ciao" unterbrochen, wenn ein Einheimischer unsere Wege kreuzte, grüßte und und gegrüßt werden musste.

Silvia was a great guide! She is lovely and friendly to meet and as a resident of Burano she knows the island, the history, the people, and the stores and restaurants. She is passionate about sharing it all and happily tailored the walking tour to our private family group. She knows the little places we would never see otherwise - a real insider - and recommended places to eat and shop too. Fabulous restaurant recommendation! Grazie Silvia!

Our tour guide Silvia was excellent. Not only was she knowledgeable and entertaining, she had the type of personality that drew a person's attention. Her family has lived on the Burano for successive generations. While walking around the various parts of the town, she often greeted family members and introduced us to them. She shared memories and family history with us that really gave us a rare glimpse into the history of Burano and current life of the people who live in this close-knit community. My bestfriend and I went to Venice for 3 days and our tour of Burano was unequivocally our favorite part of our trip. Silvia is a true joy to be around! She does a tremendous job incorporating history, folklore, and stories on the tour which kept us completely engaged. We also very much appreciated the authenticity of Burano. Venice - with its large number of tourists - often felt diluted; it was hard discern the its identity. The opposite is true for Burano. As soon as we got there, we could feel the realness of it. Throughout the tour we engaged friendly locals who helped paint the picture for us. Oh, and the architecture + colors are STUNNING! In all my travels I’ve never seen a more beautiful palette of colors. The perfect place to take pictures for your social media posts (but please be respectful of the houses and residents)! Burano is also where I bought my gifts for home. Best place for lace (my mom loves her new table decor). Thank you, Burano & Silvia!

One of the most beautiful places to visit! Burano is inspirational and our tour guide Silvia was too. As a local, she made every effort to pass on her knowledge, showing passion and enthusiasm for the way of life and immersing us into the community spirit of Burano.
