  I would recommend considering another class, if you’re traveling alone or are an American. Chef told the entire group that I was traveling alone, had taken the bus from amalfi and commented that I had no friends several times. I found this extremely uncomfortable and embarrassing, especially being singled out in front of a group of strangers. Traveling alone already requires a certain level of vulnerability, and this made me feel exposed rather than welcomed. After that, I didn’t feel as comfortable engaging or participating. What truly made the experience better were the people I met there. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and they encouraged me to stay. I’m very grateful for their kindness. I needed that support, as I lost my dad three months ago and have been having a difficult time. I took this solo trip to Amalfi for my birthday 9/22 as a way to step away from everything and have a meaningful experience. No farm tour or information when you arrive. Book Valentino cooking clas
