   Piazza del Campo is the historic heart of Siena and one of the most famous medieval squares in the world. It features a unique shell-like shape divided into nine sections, symbolizing the Council of Nine that ruled the city in the Middle Ages. It is dominated by the Palazzo Pubblico and the Torre del Mangia, and twice a year it hosts the famous Palio di Siena, the historic horse race between the city’s Contrade. Surrounded by historic buildings, cafés, and palaces, it is one of the most scenic and iconic places in the city.

   Battistero di San Giovanni

   The Baptistery of Saint Giovanni in Siena, located next to the Siena Cathedral, features a simple yet elegant exterior façade in white and pink marble, typical of Sienese architecture.
