Castel Gandolfo Palace & Secret Garden Tickets: Self-Guided Visit

Terrible waste of time as the site was closed and not open to visitors. Complete rip off, please send my money back for a refund

My girlfriend and I celebrated our one-year anniversary in Castel Gandolfo, and visiting the Papal Palace was truly special, something unique. The view from the gardens is one of the most beautiful sights we've ever seen.

It was inspiring to visit Castel gandolfo. The staff were extremely helpful and informative and the whole domain gave us a renewed vision of reality.

I paid double for the audio guide and then received tickets without the guide.

Beautiful small town. Nice contrast of busy Rome. Winder restaurant and history.

The palace, with its exquisite interiors, is well worth the trip, especially with the audio guide providing historical and cultural information. It is a pity that there are no chairs or benches to rest on in the palace, which can make a full visit difficult for the elderly or those with mobility issues.

The papal palace is beautiful and interesting; the gardens alone are worth the ticket.

But I've seen better gardens. There's not a single flower to be found, they are very simple and also easy to maintain, just mixed lawns and boxwood hedges, if I'm not mistaken.

I got the date wrong and the tickets were non-refundable, not even a minute later.

Castel Gandolfo was a wonderful tour! However, Headout did not give clear directions for the Garden tour. We asked all over the Plaza and no one knew anything about our trip. Finally the ticket office found a driver to take us for only 1/2 hour instead of an hour! Good for them. Not for Headout tho

Very interesting, especially because you get to enter the places where the history of the world and of Italy was made...

Great excursion, very easy to arrange and very enjoyable. A worthwhile experience.

Unfortunately the residence of the Palace were closed. When we bought the tickets, there was no information about it. It was a disappointment. The other program "the big Garden by golf cars" (we bought tickets separatly from the Castle program) was wonderful with very kind and helpful guides. Special thanks to them, they saved the day!

I felt ripped off—both because of the cost, which was almost double the price of the ticket, and because the ticket I received did not include the audio guide I had paid for. I tried to speak with someone from customer service, but to no avail. I strongly advise against using this service.
