Matera: Guided City Center Tour with Cave Churches & Houses

Enjoyed a great tour yesterday with a marvelous guide. Our guide was Lorenza Borrelli... she was very knowledgeable but explained everything in a very easy to understand way. She was patient, kind, and had a pleasant disposition and good sense of humor. This tour was packed full of information in a short time and flew by. We enjoyed an ancient cave church and museum/historic home as part of the tour. I highly recommend this tour and Lorenza as a guide!

Lorenza was a great guide, she has turned our tour to an adventure, always telling stories so that it has become our best tour in Italy, thank you so much! We recommend Matera to explore. Very special to walk on the stairs where Jim Caviezel walked with the Cross in Mel Gibsons Passion of Christ!!! I also have to mention: be aware not to drink from Sassi fountains, my husband did it after the tour and he had following night severe gastrointestinal issues.
