It was a very nice and informative experience. A lot of details how the salt gets purified throughout the water moving from one basin to another. Highly recommend as it is also a very unique place and soon lost art.

Did a tour on 15 September. Guide was great. She gave us lots of interesting information. I was the only English speaker in our group and she repeated everything for me without rushing. The salt pans were beautiful at sunset.

Our tour was listed as “English” but we were the only English speakers on our tour- it was in Italian and then we were singled out for separate explanations. While we asked our children to be respectfully quiet when the Italians were listening to the guide the Italians did not give us the same courtesy during our explanation. When we finished our tour we were planning to go to the gift shop but the entrance of the entire salt pans (food, gift shop, photos, etc) was closed due to a private event with no notice otherwise we would have purchased prior to the tour. The whole experience leaves a lot to be desired, but what we did see and learn was beautiful.
