From Salerno: Classic Pompeii Guided Experience

Crowds, heat- some things you can’t fault the experience for. However, the bus did arrive late for our pick-up, so we found ourselves in the brutal sun for 15 minutes more than we should have. Our tour guide seemed like she couldn’t be bothered to use a flag or any other device that other tour guides use to indicate their location so they are easy to follow. When the batteries of her microphone died, it just seemed like another indication that this could have been a better experience. Vague directions on getting the bus back. We were sent back to the lot where the bus dropped us off. By the time we got there, there were several buses, and none of us thought to, and no one indicated to us, to remember our bus or what bus to look for. I ended up having to call the company so the person could describe the bus we were looking for.

Daniela was an excellent guide. She was friendly, welcoming, and provided interesting information about Pompeii. My family learned a lot. In addition, she always made sure the group was together and no one got left behind. We really enjoyed this excursion. Also,the communication from Morandi tours about the excursion and where to meet was very good. Highly recommend this tour. Thank you!

We were collected on time - good communication from tour operator and bus journey was comfortable and around 30 minutes from Salerno. Our guide was excellent - very knowledgeable and made the tour a very interesting experience. She was able to avoid the worst of the crowds inside Pompei to ensure we weren’t queuing in the heat and answered all questions the group had for her. A short walk from coach to entrance and admission was speedy and organised. Returned to Salerno on time
