Dinner and Wine Tasting Under the Stars in an Apulian Vineyard

A unique way to taste local Puglian produce in a welcoming and beautiful location. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and wine and excellent company. The only downside was getting there as we did not have a car and did not know there was a transport option available until we went to the website. However, the owner was super helpful in finding us transport.

This experience was as described. My review is purely based on personal preference rather than the event being different than described. I just couldn't shake the feeling that a lot of the experience felt superficial with couples, friends, and families having pictures taken of them in the vineyard, little lights above the tables, everything looking extremely picturesque, people dressing up for the night, etc. If thus is your vibe, then absolutely do this experience and the "guides"/owners are amazing at catering for it. Personally, I just prefer smaller and more "personal" experience rather than a communal dinner with other tourists. But then again, such is exactly what the description of the event said, so this feels like a weird review to write. I was recommended the event by friends who loved it. I just didn't. Very kind and friendly people from the vineyard!

Last night was truly unforgettable and easily the highlight of our trip to Puglia. A huge thank you to Antonio, our guide, who explained everything about the wines, the vineyard and the local products with so much knowledge and passion. The wine was amazing, the food was absolutely delicious, and every part of the evening was perfectly organised. My husband, our son and I enjoyed every single minute. What made the night even more special was sharing our table with lovely people we had never met before, including guests from France, the UK and Australia. We shared stories about our lives, families and cultures, laughed so much and felt as though we in had known each other for years. We were actually the last table to leave because the conversation and atmosphere were simply too good to end!

Because of weather (cold and wind), the dinner was held inside a beautiful building that was warm and welcoming and comfortable for 38 guests. Giorgio and his brother Vincenzo - 4th generation - were our friendly and gracious hosts and sat everyone for maximum sociability. Food was grown or prepared at the vineyard/farm including wine and olive oil. The wines were well paired with each course of the meal - in a word, excellence. Delicious. A grand experience. I hope to return.
