   Catania Cruise Port – Pickup (1 hour 15 min) Meet your private driver and licensed English-speaking guide at the agreed meeting point at Catania Cruise Port. After the pickup, travel towards Mount Etna while enjoying views of the Sicilian countryside. Direct pickup inside the port depends on the ship’s berth and local vehicle access regulations.

   Mount Etna

   Mount Etna – Rifugio Sapienza (3 hours 30 min) Reach the Rifugio Sapienza area, located about 2,000 metres above sea level. Spend approximately two hours exploring the volcanic landscape, extinct craters and lava fields formed by past eruptions. Afterwards, travel for approximately one hour and 30 minutes towards the Alcantara Gorges.

   Le Gole dell'Alcantara

   Alcantara Gorges (1 hour 30 min) Visit the impressive Alcantara Gorges, a natural canyon formed by ancient lava flows that cooled beside the river. Admire the high basalt walls, unusual rock formations and clear river water. Enjoy free time to walk through the natural surroundings and take photographs, subject to weather and access conditions.

   Return to Catania Cruise Port – Drop-off (1 hour 15 min) Travel back to Catania Cruise Port after visiting the Alcantara Gorges. The driver will take you to the authorised passenger drop-off area near your ship. Return time may vary depending on traffic and the ship’s final boarding schedule.
