   After a comfortable pick-up from your hotel in a Mercedes-Benz E-Class, you will reach Caltabellotta, a village located nearly 1,000 meters above sea level. Here, you will visit the workshop of Salvatore Rizzuti, sculptor and full professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo. Born into a family of shepherds, Rizzuti draws inspiration from the myths and traditions of the Caltabellotta countryside. Inside the workshop (upon confirmation), you will be able to observe works in progress and finished pieces representing pagan deities and figures from Sicilian mythology. The guide and, when present, the sculptor himself will illustrate the creative process and the link between the territory and the works. This stop allows a close view of materials, techniques, and recurring themes in the artist's production, and offers direct contact with an artistic activity rooted in the local context.

   Museo civico di Caltabellotta Palazzo della Signoria

   Continue to the Civic Museum, housed in a historic palace in the center of Caltabellotta. Inside are displayed the works donated to the municipality by Salvatore Rizzuti. Among the sculptures are pagan deities, symbolic figures, and the representation of the Peace of Caltabellotta, a historical event linked to the village. The guide will illustrate the main themes of the works and the context in which they were created. The visit allows a deeper understanding of the sculptor's work and the relationship between contemporary art and the historical memory of the place.    Reach the house of a local producer for a tasting of three extra virgin olive oils. The oils come from typical local varieties: Cerasuola, Nocellara, and Biancolilla. During the tasting, the differences between the cultivars and the characteristics of each product will be explained. The guide and the producer will provide information on the production method and the agricultural context of Caltabellotta. Set in an authentic agricultural home, this short stop allows direct insight into local olive oil production while comparing their unique flavor profiles.

   Cattedrale (Chiesa Matrice)

   Step into the Cathedral of Caltabellotta, built on a place of worship frequented since prehistoric times. The building reflects successive transformations: from paganism to early Christianity up to its present configuration between the 18th and 19th centuries. It houses works of art and, in the sacristy, a fresco linked to the Knights Templar. The guide will illustrate the historical phases of the church and the main artistic elements preserved inside. The visit allows an understanding of the religious and cultural stratification of the site.

   Caltabellotta

   Conclude at the Shepherd's House, the final stage of the tour. The visit begins in the livestock area, where you will enter the enclosure to meet the sheep and observe a farm that operates in respect of the land and its rhythms. Through the shepherd's stories, the daily practices of local pastoral life will be explained. The route continues into the dairy, where milk is transformed into artisanal cheeses. The experience concludes with a guided tasting of ricotta and cheese. The guide and the hosts will illustrate the production steps and the link between pasture, milk, and the final products. The stop allows direct contact with a working farm and dairy operation before the return transfer.
