   Visit the Temple of Juno, one of the first major buildings encountered when entering the Valley of the Temples from the east side. Built in the second half of the 5th century BC, this temple still has a largely standing Doric colonnade. Its elevated position allows views over the surrounding landscape and the layout of the other buildings in the park. The guide will explain the main architectural features, the dimensions of the building and the historical context in which it was constructed. You will be able to observe the columns, the remains of the cella and traces of later restoration work at close range. The stop at this point provides an initial understanding of the importance of the site and the organization of sacred space in the Greek city of Akragas. The path around the temple is flat and easily accessible.

   Continue to the Garden of the Righteous, an area arranged within the archaeological park. It is a space dedicated to the memory of people who distinguished themselves through actions in favour of human rights. Trees and commemorative steles are present inside the garden. The guide will explain the meaning of the place and its connection with the more recent history of the site. The stop is brief and fits into the route between the temples without extending the overall visit time. The garden represents a modern element within an ancient archaeological context and shows how the park has integrated spaces of contemporary memory over time.

   Observe the Byzantine Arcosolia, rock-cut tombs from the Late Antique and Byzantine periods. The stop allows an understanding of the historical stratification of the site, which is not limited to the classical period alone. You will be able to walk around the temple and observe the columns, capitals and remains of the cella at close range. Its central position in the park and state of conservation make it one of the main points of the visit. The ground is flat and easy to walk on.

   Reach the Temple of Hercules, considered the oldest of the large temples in the Valley. Dating from the end of the 6th century BC, it retains several re-erected columns and parts of the original structure. The building is of the Doric order and has substantial dimensions. The guide will illustrate the construction chronology and the hypotheses regarding the deity to whom it was dedicated. You will be able to observe the remaining columns and the stone block still in situ. The stop allows a comparison with the later temples and an understanding of the evolution of sacred architecture in Akragas. The approach path is simple and accessible.

   Uncover the area of the Temple of Olympian Zeus, one of the largest Doric temples ever built. Construction began after the battle of Himera in 480 BC and was never completed. Today the remains of the foundations and parts of the original structures are visible, including the bases of the telamons. The guide will explain the exceptional dimensions of the project, the construction techniques and the reasons why the work was left unfinished. You will be able to observe the scale of the foundations and understand the original size of the building. The area is wide and offers an overall view of the temple's monumental footprint.

   Conclude your visit by viewing the Standing Telamon, one of the large anthropomorphic statues that originally supported the entablature of the Temple of Olympian Zeus. The piece visible today is a reconstruction placed upright in the temple area. It represents a colossal male figure typical of the architectural order used in this building. The guide will illustrate the structural and symbolic function of the telamons and their original placement. The stop helps to understand the architectural solutions adopted for a building of such proportions.
