Sorrento: Exclusive Capri Boat Tour with Optional Blue Grotto

Best day of the trip hands down!! Got collected early to get to Capri early before it gets packed! Tide was too high for blue cave in the morning, went around the sights on the coast, dropped off at Capri and jumped in taxi straight to chair lift! 5 minute wait (luckily) and amazing views!! Couple breakfast beers at the top with new friends from the boat trip, couple more down at the marina before getting back on the boat. Blue cave was a 90 min wait at this stage so we collectively were happy to skip and spend more time swimming instead. Few drinks on board and met up with everyone after in the Irish bar! Staff were amazing! Super fun and informative! 10/10 would highly recommend

Havíamos combinado o transporte 7:15, 7:30 apareceu uma van da empresa e nosso nome não estava na lista, mas falamos que era com a mesma empresa e nos deixaram entrar na van. Ao pagar a taxa extra de embaruque e desembarque que no anúncio era 10 euros por pessoa, nos cobraram 20 euros por pessoa. Ao iniciarmos o passeio o guia comentou que não daria para fazermos o passeio da gruta azul por conta da maré. No momento de visitarmos a gruta tinha uma fila de pelo menos 2 horas e desistimos. Não tivemos muitas explicações sobre a ilha no trajeto, apenas 3 ou 4 fatos e fim.

The Blue Grotto was apparently closed in the morning, so our visit was moved to the afternoon, but this change was never explained to us. When we arrived, the wait was over 1.5 hours. We were told majority rules and voted: 8 wanted to leave and swim, 4 wanted to wait. Despite the clear vote, the guide spent another 15–20 minutes trying to revisit the decision while we sat idle. Two people were already very seasick, and the unnecessary waiting only made them feel worse. Once the majority voted, we should have left immediately. The guides also could have been much more helpful and attentive to those who were sick. Overall, the situation felt poorly communicated, indecisive, and uncaring. If majority rules, the majority decision should have been respected.

Lo mejor el trato personalizado al ser pocos participantes, 12 creo. Muy bueno también que la guía hablara mi idioma, español, y era muy atenta. Bien las bebidas incluidas aunque apenas hubo tiempo de beber, y difícil con el movimiento y velocidad de la lancha. Genial el chupito de limoncello al final. No cumplió mis expectativas pues por el mal tiempo, marea alta, oleaje a la vuelta y niebla en la isla, no pudimos hacer la excursión de la gruta azul ni subir en el funicular. Tampoco pudimos hacer snorquel al regreso como estipulaba la excursión (2 tiempos de baño, 1 a la ida y otro a la vuelta), y conllevaba un suplemento. Por tanto la vuelta fue muy rápida y llegamos a Sorrento demasiado pronto. Por eso creo que deberían devolver una parte de lo pagado. Luego fue muy justo el tiempo para estar en Capri. No daba tiempo conocer ambas partes de la isla, ni pudimos darnos un baño en sus playas. Creo que para lo que pudimos hacer, el precio es elevado, y estaría bien una compensación.

Our driver and guide, Gio & Alessio were fantastic. They got us to the blue grotto early which meant we could see it without having to wait along time. They showed us several other caves, and Alessio gave us great tips on the best way to navigate Capri to make the most of our time, as well as recommendations on where to go. We stopped at an uncrowded place with plenty of time to swim, and relax with pool noodles to help. The boat was decadent, clean, & comfortable. It was a beautiful day out on the water and a great way to experience Capri. They took great care looking after us, always asking if we needed another drink etc. Gio even returned my bag to my hotel after I left it on the boat. I can’t recommend it highly enough! Make sure you take some cash so that you can tip the blue grotto oarsman and of course the fantastic duo, Alessi & Gio at the end.
