   Here we will meet and buy the tickets for the monuments together (excluded from the Viator cost, they cost 11.50 euros per person). I will give you a brief introduction to the history of Ravenna and we will visit this splendid Basilica built by the Ostrogothic king Theodoric.

   Tomba di Dante

   We will see the Tomb of the Great Poet, author of the Divine Comedy, born in Florence but died in Ravenna in 1321. You will discover the incredible story of Dante's bones.

   Piazza del Popolo

   We will see the central square of Ravenna, a meeting place for citizens for a coffee and a chat, enhanced by historic buildings and Venetian columns.

   We will talk about the typical products in this indoor Point of Sale in the heart of the city. We will see the pasta makers at work in the creation of fresh pasta, including the traditional Romagnoli cappelletti, we will see what piadina is and I will give some suggestions for lunch or dinner.

   Mausoleo di Galla Placidia

   We will visit a casket of rare beauty, the tomb of the Roman empress Galla Placidia. The mosaics have been preserved in this place for a good 1600 years.

   Basilica di San Vitale

   40min

   Let's conclude in style with this majestic masterpiece of Byzantine art. It is a 6th-century basilica that still allows us to be moved today by admiring the skill of the artisans and the numerous symbolisms contained within the mosaics.
