Can we book an evening or sunset city tour in Ravenna?

Most listed city tours run during the day, and the mosaic sites close in the late afternoon, so plan your romantic moments around dusk rather than inside the monuments. A private guide can shape a late-afternoon walk that ends as the light softens, and couples often follow with a candlelit dinner in the centre.

Which Ravenna city tours work best for a romantic visit?

The private walking tours are the strongest fit: unhurried, personal, and focused on the mosaics that make Ravenna unique. Couples who want more than sightseeing can add a food element, such as a mosaics-and-flavours walk with tastings, or a pasta-making class in a local's home for a shared hands-on experience.

About Ravenna

Ravenna rewards couples who slow down: early Christian mosaics glowing in dim basilica light, quiet brick lanes, and a pace made for walking hand in hand. A private format suits this city best, and the Ravenna: Exclusive Private Walking Tour with a Local Expert keeps the storytelling intimate, while the Ravenna Private Tour: UNESCO Mosaics & Romagna Flavors pairs the monuments with a taste of local Romagna produce.

Frequently asked questions

Private tours give couples the most flexibility: you set the pace, linger longer in front of a mosaic, and ask questions without an audience. Several private walking options run about three hours, which leaves the rest of the day free.
