Geführte Tour durch die Vatikanischen Museen und die Sixtinische Kapelle

Tiana was a lovely tour guide. She deftly maneuvered through the crowds while sharing information about the artwork and the museum origins and organization. The skip the line feature of this tour was worth every amount of the tour cost. From line up through security to getting ear pieces we were roughly 20-25 minutes. The museum tour itself was roughly an hour twenty minutes to an hour and forty minutes with 10-15 minutes allocated to enjoy the Sistine chapel. We opted to break away after the chapel to explore more of the museum. It’s a long walk back, but it was lovely to spend more time in the courtyard.

A very nice tour. Very good , knowledgeable guide, navigating the crowds was done as good as can be expected. Having a guide certainly enhanced seeing the sights, especially the Sistine Chapel. Was unaware it ended in the St Peter's Basilica which we were free to explore on our own ( no waiting to get in at all, but also no guided tour), but this may not always be the case. A good tour to do whilst visiting Rome. Would recommend

Die Organisation war wirklich nicht gut. Wir haben den Abend vor der Tour eine Nachricht erhalten, dass die Tour eine halbe Stunde später losgeht. Am Treffpunkt angekommen: keine Menschenseele. Auf Nachfrage wurden wir zu einem anderen Treffpunkt, dem Office, gebeten, dieses war wenigstens direkt um die Ecke. Dort wurde uns dann gesagt, dass es ein Missverständnis gab und die nächste Tour um 11.25 Uhr startet. Da wir gesagt haben, dass wir noch zum Flughafen müssen, wurde uns 11 Uhr angeboten. Um 11 Uhr dort angekommen, hieß es dann doch, es geht erst um 11.25 Uhr los. Der Tourguide selbst war freundlich und hatte sicherlich viel Know-how, allerdings konnten wir kaum folgen bei der Schnelligkeit der Tour und des Erklärens, in 1.5h durch die Museen und die Sixtinische Kapelle war einfach zu eng getaktet. Die Sehenswürdigkeiten an sich waren aber natürlich sehr sehenswert und beeindruckend!

The tour guide was an absolute hoot — his humor and personality really made the experience enjoyable, which helped balance out how insanely crowded it was. The views were incredible, and it’s truly amazing to see everything in person. Getting in was easy, but I was shocked by how packed it was, even during the shoulder season. I can’t imagine what it’s like in peak season! I’d definitely recommend booking a small or private tour — the bigger the group, the harder it is to move through and actually take it all in. It did feel a bit rushed at times, but that was mostly due to the sheer number of people.
