Rome: St. Peter's Basilica, Papal Tombs & Dome Climb Tour

This tour was an amazing experience! Our guide, Sylvia, was excellent! She was extremely knowledgeable and very well spoken, and kept the tour exactly on time. I would definitely recommend this tour, and Sylvia as the guide, to anyone interested in visiting the Basilica. Just be aware, the stairs to the top of the dome are no joke!! :)

our guide was excellent. however the tour started later than advertised and was not the specified length we expected. this meant we were at risk of missing another scheduled tour so we had to leave early and could not do the dome as planned and paid for.

Terrible. Do not book this tour expecting to get what you paid for. The tour guide wasted nearly half hour waiting in lines to pay for what should have been taken care ahead of time. There is no “skip the line” here. And because most of the group didn’t want to climb the stairs even more time was wasted.

Estuvo genial, se entendió perfectamente a Silvia su inglés es fácil de entender, yo tenía el tour en español pero surgió algo y me dieron la opción de cambiar de hora y día pero no podíamos ya que no llegábamos a tiempo, y me dieron la opción de hacerlo en inglés y no me arrepiento se entendió todo.

Fantastic, could not climb stairs due to people that fainted and doctors. Closed the area for more than an hour.

So much we would have missed without our wonderful guide. We did a small group tour and were very happy that we did!

Die Tour war gut; die Wartezeit vor dem Vatikan betrug allerdings über eine Stunde. Die Menschen dort waren teilweise unverschämt und drängelten vor. Hätten wir gewusst, dass mit einem geringen Aufpreis, der Guide sagte ca. 7 Euro, wir hätten quasi durchspazieren können, hätten wir das gemacht. Schade!

Overall a good experience. Lorenzo, the guide was great. Did seem expensive though for what was offered and we also had to wait in line for an hour in the normal line instead of using the groups entrance.
