What's included

The tour crosses all the neighborhoods of the historic city of the SASSI DE MATERA. Starting with the city of Piano with a view of the Sasso Barisano, we'll continue by visiting a first cave church and from there, walking the typical streets between the stone architecture, we'll appreciate the cave architecture, talking about the transformation that took place in this place.
We'll visit the modern square and the old Town Hall, the Colle della Civita, the first site in the historic city where you can see the Cathedral. Then we'll head down to the Sasso Caveoso, a location for films like The Passion of the Christ and The Gospel of Pasolini. Then we'll visit a cave house, taking in the elements of the last season of life in the Sassi.
We'll discuss the Sassi from different angles: archaeological, artistic, architectural, landscape, environmental, anthropological, etc.
Tickets for the monuments we'll visit on the tour are also included in the price.
Anything not specifically mentioned is excluded.
