Exceptional tour with knowledgable and naturally passionate guide. The best part was the fact that there was no rush. The guide gave as more than enough time to see and take everything in on the mountain. Often you feel that you don’t get enough time…that was definitely not the case here! Highly, highly recommended.

Awesome tour where we reached the summit and learned a lot about the volcano! This was the highlight of our Sicily trip. I would say you should be in decent shape for this hike. (At one point, we were in a giant sulfur cloud so everyone was coughing. Would recommendations you bring a face mask or scarf.) You’re able to borrow jackets and hiking boots — it gets cold up there.

Luca and the team were excellent tour guides. They provided all the necessary equipment for the day and took us upto Mount Etna. They then split the group into smaller groups associated by language speakers and we did our hike on the northern side of Etna. Luca was patient and informative with a lot of geological/geographical knowledge of Etna and volcanology in general. When someone got a bit nervous assailing a steeper part he took their hand and helped them which I thought was really nice. He even remembered my name and stopped me from straying off too much to go exploring like I usually do (I am always the one in the group who wanders off fascinated by everything and anything) The tour was nicely timed and the hike itself is decent but could be difficult for some regarding altitude, steepness and in some places loose material made it a bit tricky. However this is just part and parcel of a tour of this nature. Thank you for an amazing day and experience Luca and the team!!

My tour was run by Etnahiker and I opted for the hike to summit craters on the Northeast side. My guide, Marco, was friendly and knowledgeable. He answered all questions from the group and kept an eye out for anyone lagging behind. The owner, Luca Cosma, also a volcanologist guide, was great about waiting for me when I was late in arriving. I was traveling from 3+ hours away and Google maps underestimated the drive time due to the nature of the roads leading to Mt Etna. An enjoyable outing run by a reputable company. Highly recommended.

Our experience with Luca was amazing. He displayed great understanding and patience as some of our group members were nearly 30 minutes late at arrival- holding up other groups. Once our group all arrived we took off on the 4x4 vehicle and headed up the mountain in gorgeous weather. Luca was insightful and fun as our guide and we HIGHLY recommend booking a trip with him!
