Mount Etna: 4x4 Ascent to 2800m with Certified Volcanologist Guide

A experiência é única. Um espetáculo imperdível de subir o monte Etna e ver sua força e esplendor. O transporte no 4 × 4 foi seguro e confortável. A pequena trilha percorrida próxima à uma cratera também. O que não foi satisfatório foi a dificuldade de escutar nossa guia durante o percurso. Não sabemos se o problema foi o equipamento de som, mas para nós a guia falava muito baixo ao microfone. Tivemos dois guias, entretanto. O segundo nos encantou com explicações sobre o Etna no campo.

Our guide (Giordano) was excellent - kept everyone engaged and informed, even in three different languages for the whole tour! The tour itself was very good, the minibus got us safely to 2800m where the view was outstanding - the weather was fair which gave an excellent view of the summit as well as the view down to towns below. Lots of information passed on the way including the guides own videos of previously eruptions etc. Multiple stops on the way back down to view craters etc, all with something different to see and learn about Etna. Overall, a fantastic tour.

Ich habe mich aufgrund der vielen positiven Bewertungen für diese Tour entschieden. Leider hat sich meine Erfahrung damit nicht gedeckt. Die Tour hat nur 1,5h anstatt 2,5h gedauert und hat sich etwas lieblos angefühlt, Vielleicht lag es am kalten und nebenliegen Wetter, aber dies wurde nicht kommuniziert. Dafür ist der Preis schon sehr hoch. Wir sind auch nicht bis hoch zum Observatorium gefahren, sondern waren auf einer Ebene davor ( auch hier weiß ich nicht, ob das wetterbedingt war oder so gehört.) Alles in allem bin ich etwas enttäuscht zurückgekommen, da die Tour so schnell wieder vorbei war.

Das war wirklich eine extrem coole Tour, mit diesen off-road-Bussen auf 2,800m zu fahren. Die Strecke ist nicht ohne, teilweise wirklich steil und kurvig, hier von einem Weg zu sprechen teilweise schon gewagt - aber der Expeditionsbus fährt da rauf und runter ohne Probleme. Oben angekommen hat man das Gefühl auf einem anderen Planeten zu sein. Das ist ein Ausflug, den ich und meine Familie sicher nicht vergessen werden.
