Florence Duomo: Dome Climb Tickets and Museum Tour

The guide (Becky) was extremely knowledgeable and she was very friendly throughout and tried to engage with everyone in the group. The tour itself was fantastic, the art and culture was beyond belief. Becky set the pace climbing the dome for people of all ages and fitness levels. The of Florence from the dome was amazing. Would recommend doing this tour, well worth the money.

I went on September 8th, and our small group had Becky as our guide. Becky did an amazing job with the pacing of the tour and the information given, and she was able to share a lot of history in an interesting and concise manner. I stayed engaged the entire time and learned a lot about Florence and the important figures of the Renaissance. Climbing the dome near the end of the tour was a cool experience, and the view of the city was amazing! The tour is on the pricier side, but included is the Brunelleschi Pass which gives you entry to all the Duomo monuments. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in visiting and learning about the Duomo-complex and about Florence.

I was highly disappointed in what I received vs what I paid for. The main thing I wanted to see was the paintings in the dome, so I had prepared to climb the dome. But the way that it was described, it sounded like anybody could do it as long as you weren’t disabled or in a wheelchair. When in fact… You needed to be somewhat athletic to do it because there are almost 500 steps! That’s a BIG deal and should have been mentioned in the description because I never would have signed up had I known that. I can climb some stairs (probably 150 max) but not 465!! I feel like this was misleading. I don’t know anybody personally that could do that.

Une super visite grâce à Emanuele, qui a un été un guide formidable ! C'était très intéressant et très vivant. on a beaucoup apprécié ! En revanche, le système de visite oblige à aller un peu vite, on aurait bien apprécié d'avoir un peu plus de temps pour contempler ce très beau dôme. Mais cela est vrai pour toutes les visites du dôme, apparemment. Seule possibilité : y retourner ! 😊
