   St. Peter's Basilica

   Vatican City, an autonomous microstate inside Rome, Italy, is home to the Papal Basilica of Saint Peter, often known as Saint Peter's Basilica. It is a basilica from the Italian High Renaissance. In order to replace the deteriorating Old St. Peter's Basilica, which was constructed in the fourth century by Roman Emperor Constantine the Great, it was first envisioned in the fifteenth century by Pope Nicholas and then by Pope Julius, On April 18, 1506, work on the current basilica started, and it was finished on November 18, 1626. (If you schedule your tour three days before your trip begins, you can attend the basilica quite easily.)

   One of the most popular art museums in the world is the Vatican Museums. A vast collection of Renaissance masterpieces and other intriguing collections may be found in this enormous complex of 24 galleries, or chambers. Because there is so much to see, it is easy to become overwhelmed, therefore preparation is key. You can avoid the long lineups at the entrance and enter the museums without having to wait if you buy a skip the line ticket to the Vatican Museum in advance.
