Sorrento: Blue Grotto, Capri & Anacapri Guided Full-Day Tour

Not the guides fault but I thought the queuing system at the blue grotto was poorly organised. we waited a long time because of boats tours despite thinking we were first ones there and it was hot whilst waiting. We saw the highlights of Capri, Anacapri , chair lift and blue grotto which was what we wanted but bus was hot , packed and not air conditioned on way back down, was glad to get back to Sorrento. I thought it was very expensive for what it was 4 drinks at top of anacapri was €67 on top of chair lift price of €15 return each , which was well worth it for the view, but not the drink price

The trip was fine. Our tour guide Franceso was very good and was great at keeping us updated with our itinerary for the day. Keep in mind the blue grotto isn’t guaranteed, we managed to go mid day, and the wait was a bit longer than expected but was an amazing experience. The activity advertises the chairlift as part of the experience, but it is not included, however well worth it. It was one of our favourite things during the activity. The history is interesting and you do get free time. If visitingCapri, I do believe you should definitely book onto a guide as I don’t know how we would visit everywhere without one as they had the transport all sorted (included).

We had a great day in Capri, ok it was hot and crowded but we knew it would be but still wanted to see what the fuss was all about. The chair lifts was our firm favourite, it was so relaxing with birds singing all the way up and fab views at the top, we got to see everything worth seeing in Capri, tye fancy shops..we did the cable cars too.. we were very tired coming home! but happy with the day, we will remember it forever and Nello our guide was a gentleman and very professional at his job, it's a hard job trying to keep everyone happy and together in the crowds and the heat! Well done Nello!

Lia the guide was brilliant. She took care of us all day and made sure her group got the best position for everything. Thank you Lia! The trip was excellent and you felt you got enough time on the whole in the Capri towns. The only downside was the additional excursions being sold. These needed to be part of the full tour as they were both very good. Adding the cost of these on top of the tour for a couple, made this very expensive. A fantastic day!

The trip to Cari overall was good but not amazing. Capri is a small island and gets very crowded very quickly, which is no fault of the tour/guide but something to keep in mind. The blue grotto was also not available even though it was sunny and 75 degrees Fahrenheit outside and the waves did not seem bad. This was disappointing as this was the main reason we even wanted to go here but again out of the tour guides control. He was still very kind and informative and we still went on a boat tour around the island which was nice. But, we did take the ferry to the island which kind of already gave the boat wow factor. Maybe off season the island would be more enjoyable but in the high season just keep this in mind. Overall the tour was good but not sure if we’d do again. I’d say if it’s your first time give it a try though.
