From Siena: San Gimignano, Brunello Wine & Winery Lunch

We booked this tour from Siena for our group of three long before we arrived in Italy because we were so keen to experience San Gimignano. Three days before we were advised that it might not be going ahead on the Sunday and asked if Monday ‘would be better’ for us. We said we’d prefer Sunday but Monday would fine if that wasn’t an option. On Friday we received a WhatsApp message telling us that the Sunday tour was not going ahead and that the other date we were offered was, in fact. “already fully booked.” It was unfortunate to be offered an alternative option if it wasn’t even available. We’re still waiting for our refund. These things happen but what a disappointment. We’d all think twice about booking anything with this company in future.

me encantó la idea de visitar Bodegas en Toscana en cuatro pasos:dos degustaciones y dos pueblos.Pero durante la visita a San Giminiano diluvio.El grupo tuvo que caminar 300 metros de idea y de regreso:pienso que podría haber ido el bus al punto de encuentro.Estuvo peligroso y resbaladizo en condiciones adversas. la primera bodega , Poggio, muuuuuy improvisado TODO.No hablaban español, muy desprolijo el espacio. Los vinos bien,Degustacion pobre de aceite de oliva.La visita al puebloMontalcino no estuvo acompañada por la guía!!!!lpor lo cual, por miedo a perder la excursion volvimos al punto de encuentro pues el caminonpresentaba confusiones.a segunda bodega fue una experiencia mejor aunque tampoco dieron la charla en español.la relación precio calidad no funciono.Para el servicio que tuvimos, fue carisimo la segunda bodega estuvo mejor .Pero tampoco hablaban español.

The trip was great, the wineries were okay but I’m sure there are better wineries scattered around Tuscany. Highlight of the trip were the people on our tour. Val was great, very energetic and passionate about her job. The wines to purchase were very expensive. The length of time in San Gimignano and Montalcino were fairly short but considering how long the day was they were fine.
