Bologna: Tagliatelle Pasta and Bolognese Sauce Class in a Local Home

Our experience was beyond great! I had train issues, so my friends arrived and began the class without me, but when I finally got there Oriana was super accommodating and was able to incorporate me into the class immediately! The tagliatelle was delicious and all of us had a blast creating it! We all felt very satisfied leaving the class and would highly recommend to anyone!

We absolutely loved our pasta-making class with Rosa Lucente. It was such a special experience. We didn't know it would only be our small party of 3 (1 adult, two young adults) which was a lovely surprise. Being in a local's home (with two adorable cats!) really added to the experience. Rosa made us a pizza from scratch when we arrived, the pasta-making itself was fun and she took lots of photos and videos which we appreciated. Eating our pasta was the best part of course! Rosa had even prepared individual tiramisus for us for dessert. This was one of our favourite activities over a two week trip around Europe. I can't recommend the class and Rosa highly enough!

Loved this experience. Lisa Modafferi was a lovely host and made us feel so welcome into her beautiful home. We learnt how to make Tagliatelle from scratch, drinking Prosecco as we did so, then sat for lunch eating the Tagliatelle alla Ragu and drinking Red wine followed by the best Tiramisu and a glass of Limoncello. A highlight of our visit to Bologna. ADVICE: Check, check and check your emails again as the company - Cesarine, changed the host 3 times and we had to get a last minute taxi just out of the centre. It all worked out well in the end but could really have caused some issues if we hadn’t noticed in time.

While in Bologna, we spent the morning with Oriana, who welcomed us to her lovely home (up 5 flights in a walk up building so be prepared!) for a hands-on pasta-making class. She’s a great instructor and very patiently corrected our fumbling technique. After making the pasta, not easy but fun, we had lunch, including the pasta we just made with her homemade ragú. It was delicious and generous. Highly recommend.
