Wine Experience Around Cagliari

This was honestly one of the nicest experiences of our stay in Sardinia. From the beginning, everything felt warm and personal, not like a standard tour at all. Federico drove us through the countryside to the winery, and even on the way we could enjoy the beautiful views, vineyards and flamingos. At the winery, Giuseppe welcomed us in such a warm way that we really felt less like tourists and more like guests visiting family. He showed us around the vineyard and prepared a fantastic tasting of Sardinian food and wine. The whole experience felt authentic, relaxed and very special. It was meant to be a small group tour, but in the end it was private, which made it even more memorable. We left with full hearts, great memories and a real feeling that we had experienced something special.

This was truly a magical experience! Franco and Giuseppe were incredibly kind and knowledgeable. After showing us around the beautiful countryside, Franco took us to the vineyard where Giuseppe taught us about the entire winemaking process, from growing and harvesting the grapes, making the wine, to bottling the product. We then sat down with them, family style, and enjoyed the many wines we just learned about along with local and homemade foods from Giuseppe’s family. We couldn’t have been happier! It was the perfect end to our first day in Sardinia!

Federico (the guide) was really nice and took a lot of pictures and videos. Guiseppe (the wine maker) was also great. They both give us a lot of information about Sardegna. The vineyard was so lovely. We loved the wines and the food was delicious. I even ordered some bottles and Guiseppe shipped them to France. The package arrived quickly and was super protected. 100% would recommend!

Een hele mooie belevenis! Opgehaald bij ons appartement, daarna een mooie rit langs een schitterend landschap. Onderweg werd veel verteld en uitgelegd. Mooie wijngaard met prachtig uitzicht. Erg gastvrij ontvangen en rondgeleid over het terrein. Hierna 4 heerlijke wijn en mirto mogen proeven en allerlei plaatselijke delicatessen mogen proeven.

During my trip to Sardinia, I had the opportunity to take part in a local wine tasting — and it turned out to be one of the most memorable and authentic experiences of the whole journey. The tasting took place at a charming, family-run winery nestled in the hills in calgalari surrounded by sun-soaked vineyards and olive trees. From the moment we arrived, the setting felt serene and welcoming — rustic yet elegant, with views that stretched over the rolling Sardinian countryside. Our host was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about Sardinian wine. We also enjoyed a lovely spread of local cheeses, cured meats, and olives — simple but bursting with flavor, and expertly paired to complement each wine. The pace was relaxed, unhurried, and genuinely intimate — a refreshing change from the more commercial tastings you sometimes find elsewhere. If you’re visiting the island and even slightly curious about wine, this is an absolute must!
