St. Peter's Basilica Guided Tour with Dome Climb

The ticket indicated we would have an English speaking guide-our guide Lucy or Lucia had an accent that made it very difficult to understand. In addition we met our guide at 12:50 but didn't make our way to the security line until 1:20 or so. We thought that we would start the tour at 1:00 and since we booked with a guide that there would be a more expedited security line for group tours but we were in the same cluster as everyone else-it took a very long time to get the tour started and then get through security.

Beautiful architecture, unique place to pray, forgive, and move ahead with love and new powers. Fantastic lady with ability to make people extremely interested, sorry I forgot her name, but I want to say we are so greatfull for this special time in Roma. We were told to meet the guide at in front of the Galleria San Pietro store 15 minutes before our tour. I was there 30 mins before and get a call 15 minutes before the tour telling me to meet them at their office. Thinking it could be a scam, I told them no and that I was meeting them where they told me. Syed calls me and meets me at the Galleria waiting for the guide to show up. Someone else passed by and takes us to the guide already in line, not wearing a blue uniform or with a flag. Mind you, 30 mins from the start of my tour had passed and we ended up doing the line, which took about an hour to get through security and another 45 mins to get to the top of the dome. I could have done this on my own without a guide, saved the money, and time. Having the guide helped with knowing the history but was really not needed.
