Our guide was terrific- an A++. Knowledgeable and excellent communicator. However, in regards to the Headout website and communication assesability, it was nightmare-ish. We could not easily get a confirmation or information on making changes, meet up etc etc.

We loved our tour of Herculaneum. Luciano Leone was our guide for the morning tour, and was so friendly and animated. The time flew by so quickly. He pointed out many details we would have missed completely being on our own and not really knowing what we were looking at. Luciano brought the site to life for us. We would absolutely recommend this tour.

I dragged my boyfriend to Herculaneum and WOW, it was sooo much cooler than he thought. Our guide (think her name was Lucia?) was super chill and had all these wild facts about the houses and shops. The way the ash preserved everything is kinda nuts, like you can see paint on the walls! We went on a Monday morning, not super crowded but bring water cuz it gets HOT. Pro tip: wear sneakers, the streets are uneven and my flip flops were a bad call. Loved it, would totally come back with my parents.

Went solo, joined a group tour at the entrance. Our guide Mario was passionate but spoke a bit fast, hard for me to catch everything. Still, learned a lot about Roman daily life. It was EPIC walking through the old bathhouses. Only thing, there were some school groups and it got noisy at times. Bring headphones if you want to hear the guide better.

Herculaneum is just fascinating. We visited with our two kids (8 and 10) and even they weren’t bored, which is saying something! The guide had a way of explaining stuff that made it feel like a story, not a lecture. The mosaics are BEAUTIFUL. It was fairly busy but nothing like Pompeii. Only downside was the food truck outside, not great. Pack snacks if ur picky.

Was expecting more honestly but maybe I’m just not a ruins person. Our group felt a bit rushed, guide seemed nice enough though. Some bits are closed off for restoration, which was a bummer. Still, cool to see the old streets and bath areas. Glad I went but probly wouldn’t do it twice.

We had a private guide named Enzo and he was just delightful! My mom kept asking him endless questions and he didn’t mind at all. The details you see in the houses are mind-blowing, like the frescoes and even wooden doors survived the eruption. Weather was mild, perfect for wandering. Buy tickets online to avoid the line (we didn’t, oops).

First time in Italy, first time seeing anything like Herculaneum. Blew my mind. I loved that the site is smaller than Pompeii but feels better preserved. Our guide, Marco, knew everything. Even showed us a bakery where they found actual bread! Kinda wild. It got crowded around noon so go early if you can.

Herculaneum was def worth the trip from Naples. Me and my friend went without a tour, just wandered with a guidebook. Kinda got lost but that was half the fun. Some signs could use updating, and the map isn’t the clearest. LOVED the old mosaics, took way too many pics. Wear sunscreen!

I’m a history nerd so this was a real treat. Booked a small group tour with my partner. Our guide was super knowledgeable—could answer every question, even random ones. Not too many people (visited late afternoon). Only minus: the gift shop was kinda meh, but who cares when you’re walking ancient streets?

Family trip with teens. They grumbled at first but got into it after hearing stories about the eruption. The skeletons by the old boat houses are INTENSE, not for little kids maybe. We brought a picnic and sat outside after, nice shady spots near entrance.

Can’t believe how much survived here. Our guide, Silvia, was top notch—she painted a picture of life before everything changed. She also gave us tips on the best photo spots (hint: near the big mosaic floors). Entry line moved fast. Would recommend, especially if you want a less crowded experience than Pompeii.

Went on a super hot day, and there’s not a lot of shade. I wish I’d brought a hat. The ruins are cooool but some parts are hard to get to if you have mobility issues (lots of steps and uneven ground). Staff was friendly and tried to help. Glad I went, but be prepared if you have walking problems.

Visited Herculaneum with my uni friends. We did the tour, which was worth it if you wanna go at your own pace but still get the facts. The preserved wood and murals are CRAZY. It’s smaller than I thought but so packed with details. Didn’t wait long to get in, maybe 10 minutes max.

Herculaneum is a hidden gem, for real. Not as famous as Pompeii but honestly felt more authentic. We went as a couple, strolled around for two hours. Some spots are closed off but you can still see a lot. The info boards are helpful, just wish there were more benches to rest.

Took my dad for his birthday and he loved it. Our guide, Anna, was so passionate, you could tell she really cared. The highlights were the baths and the beautiful mosaics. It got a bit crowded after lunch, so if you want photos with less people, go early!
