Important: St. Peter’s Basilica is closed on Wednesday mornings until 1:30pm, due to the Papal Audience. Tours during this time will not include basilica entry. Additionally, tours starting after 3:30pm (any day of the week) are not guaranteed entry into St. Peter’s Basilica. During state visits or special religious events, parts of the Vatican or St. Peter's Basilica may be closed unexpectedly and without much notice

On Wednesdays, we are unable to visit St Peter's Church due to the mass. Instead, our guide will make up for this by visiting more sites inside of the Vatican Museums. Tours starting after 3:30 PM are not guaranteed entry into St. Peter’s Basilica.
All visitors must pass through airport-style security. During high season, the wait at security may be up to 30 minutes.
The Sistine Chapel can be subject to unforeseen closure for religious or political events.
This tour involves walking, stairs, and uneven terrain. It is not wheelchair or stroller accessible. A soft baby carrier is recommended.
Knees and shoulders must be covered to enter the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. Guests not meeting the dress code may be refused entry. No hats or flip flops please.
The Sistine Chapel is a place of worship, so visitors are not allowed to speak inside. Your guide will explain what you will see before entering

Amazing tour – truly unforgettable! We had an incredible experience today thanks to our wonderful guide Raffa. She was super friendly, exceptionally knowledgeable, and explained everything in a clear, engaging, and enjoyable way. Her passion for the history really brought the whole tour to life. We are a family of five, including a baby in a stroller, which can make visiting the Vatican quite challenging. The guide was excellent, knowledgable, with interesting stories about a few popes in distant history who went outside the boundaries of the strict rules imposed on the clergy. My complaint, and it's a big one, is that the earpieces provided did not easily stay on my ears, so I missed a good part of the guide's narrative. I think before booking another tour would attempt to find out what type of listening device is used. We had a a previous tpur of the Colosseum and had no trouble hearing with their equipment.

The activity was great. The meeting spot, on the steps across from the Vatican entrance, was very easy to locate. Elizabetha, our guide, was very good! Very nice, knowledgeable and fun! Although it was well organised and the skip the line pass was valuable and we were guided around the sites, I would not recommend this trip. I felt it was very rushed and very crowded - possibly the nature of all trips to the Vatican Museum. I booked a tour guide not to walk us around but to tell us interesting insights that we wouldn't glean from the standard information but there was none forthcoming sadly. I probably would have learned more in the rooms on my own. In retrospect I would have just done the Sistine Chapel and the Basilica as it was too much especially for my daughter and my mother.
