Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius: Full-Day Tour

The idea of having a tour that encompassed all 3 sites appealed but in reality it was too much for one day. Had the timings gone to schedule then it would have been a better experience but even so there's so much to see in each location, it would have been better in hindsight to do these activities over more than one day. Bearing in mind the trip was still at the end of low season, the transport was very disorganised. Versuvius was the first activity of the day and the bus was 20 minutes late leaving compared to the GYG start time. The knock on effect of this continued during the day and increased site by site. At Versuvius the time allowed wasn't 1.5 hours as described (1 hr 20) which when you're climbing a significant height, it impacted on the time available at the crater. At Herculaneum, the time was less than the 2 hours. Pompeii was supposed to be 2.5 hrs but because of knock on delays it was under 2 as we had to exit early to return audio guides to the shop before it shut.

Із мінусів: - офіс (точка зустрічі) знаходиться далеко від станції. - організатор не дав змоги взяти аудіогід, чи хоча б карту; не зоієнтував на місці та не надав інформації де можна придбати аудіогід чи карту самостійною - на Помапеї, щоб отримати аудіогід - вимагають залишити оригінал паспорта (не можливо домовитись за грошовий завдаток). - гід супроводжує лише до входу. Тобто, фактично це не екскурсія, а лише трансфер.

the time was scheduled for 9:10, they promised to wait 5 minutes, I got there at 9:12 and found out they left at 8:50. not nice at all. not cool. i had to pay 110 euros to get to the 1st location by myself and repay for the entrance fee. then, the tour guide never checked the weather, we went to mt. vesuvius just to find out it was closed due to the weather. a total waist of time!!! only got refunded the entrance fee for mt. vesuvius, which was less than 20 euros. and pompeii tour NEVER HAPPENED!!! this is a total waist of money!! I'm so upset 😡

Diese Tagestour war leider eine totale Enttäuschung.Angefangen mit dem kostenpflichtigen Parkplatz (18€) für unser Auto,obwohl laut Beschreibung und Bestätigung ein Parkplatz inkludiert gewesen sein sollte und ein Mitarbeiter der Agentur,der dies auf sehr unhöfliche Weise kommunizierte. Desweiteren wurden die Transfers nicht in einem "Luxus Minibus" durchgeführt.Die Fahrt nach Herculaneum fand sogar in einem völlig verdrecktem Van statt,in dem sogar die Innenverkleidung fehlte.In Herculaneum hatten wir genug Zeit.Dann wurde es stressig.Wir wurden zum Vesuv gekarrt und hatten dort nur 1,5 Stunden Zeit,um hoch und wieder zum Treffpunkt zu kommen.Es blieb überhaupt keine Zeit,den Vulkan und die Aussicht zu genießen.Geschweige denn,auf einen Führer zu warten,der einem etwas erklären und zeigen kann.Für Pompeji blieb natürlich auch nicht mehr viel Zeit übrig.Aufgrund der Größe und der schlechten Karte und des Audioguides,war man chancenlos,einen guten Rundweg zu finden.Die Tour ist Abzocke.
